LIVING WATER

As I walk through this life
I pass through many a desert and wilderness,
Seeking relief from the searing sun
And scorching desert wind.
Searching for a sanctuary,
A refreshing oasis to quench
This dry and parched soul.
In the midst of my pain and loneliness
I have found an abundance of water,
A pure river; wherever it flows everything lives.
Waters gushing too deeply
To cross without swimming.
It is free to those who thirst.
Anyone who wants to,
Come and drink with me
From this fountain of living water,
A perpetual spring from within;.
From which I shall never again thirst.
With joy I drink deeply from this fountain of salvation.
Thanks be to God for the Lamb,
who leads me to these springs of life-giving water.
